This issue apparently comes up while trying to find the local machine's hostname before setting it to no_dhcp.

I removed the subnet configuration in dhcpd.conf per skylar's suggestion. He mentioned that this is what things look like on BCCD-OG. Here's a copy of what I tried:

class "bccd-nodes" {

match if option bccd-identifier = "bccd-client";

}

class "pxelinux-nodes" {

match if option bccd-identifier != "bccd-client";

}

shared-network "bccd" {

subnet 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 { } pool {

allow members of "bccd-nodes" ; range 192.168.1.10 192.168.1.100; next-server 192.168.1.1;

}

pool {

allow members of "pxelinux-nodes" ; range 192.168.1.101 192.168.1.200 ; next-server 192.168.1.1 ; filename "pxelinux.0";

option root-path "192.168.1.1:/,nfsvers=3,tcp,hard";

}

}

This comes from running host on the local IP to determine the machine's hostname. it's not really an error. Should it be logged somewhere?

I think console is fine for this
